Terms of service
These terms and conditions govern every order placed on the ProtectView online store. They apply to the exclusion of any other terms. By placing your order, you confirm that you have read them and that you accept them.
1. Who we are
The ProtectView store is operated by Blessing Group JJP LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in the United States, whose registered office is at 1021 E Lincolnway, Unit 1874, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA.
Contact: contact@getprotectview.com
The site is hosted by Shopify Inc., 151 O'Connor Street, Ground floor, Ottawa, Ontario K2P 2L8, Canada.
2. Products
The products offered are those shown on the site at the time you view it, subject to availability. Each product is presented with the main characteristics you need to make your purchasing decision.
Photographs and images illustrate the product as faithfully as possible but do not form part of the contract. Slight differences in appearance, shade or packaging may occur without affecting the essential characteristics of the product.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP), inclusive of any applicable taxes, excluding delivery charges. Delivery charges are shown separately before you confirm payment and are set out again in the order summary.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. The price that applies is the one shown at the moment you confirm your order.
4. Placing an order
The ordering process involves selecting the products, reviewing the basket, entering your delivery and billing details, choosing the delivery method, and then paying. Confirmation of payment forms the contract between us.
Before confirming, you can return to the previous steps and correct any errors. A confirmation email summarising your order is sent to you.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that is abnormal, in particular in the event of a previous payment dispute, an order clearly intended for resale, or a suspicion of fraud.
5. Payment
Payment is made online, at the time of the order, using the methods offered at checkout. Transactions are secured by our payment provider. We never have access to your full card details.
Your order is only processed once payment has been authorised.
6. Delivery
We deliver to the UK mainland. Orders are dispatched within 48 working hours, then delivered within 3 to 6 working days. Full details are set out in our delivery policy.
If your delivery is delayed, you can contact us at contact@getprotectview.com. If the product is not delivered within 30 days of your order, you may cancel the sale and obtain a refund of the sums paid.
Risk in the goods remains with us until they are delivered into your hands.
7. Right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period during which you may cancel your order without giving any reason. As a matter of goodwill, we extend this to a 30-day money-back guarantee. The procedure, the return costs and the refund times are set out in our refund and returns policy.
8. Your statutory rights
All our products are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you have a 30-day right to reject them for a full refund; after that period you may ask us to repair or replace them, and, where a repair or replacement is unsuccessful, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a refund. These remedies are provided at no cost to you; write to us at contact@getprotectview.com. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
9. Use of the product
Our detection products are intended for personal and lawful use only, to check the places you occupy and to protect your own privacy. You are responsible for complying with the applicable law, in particular the privacy and property rights of other people. Using these products to break the law, or to interfere with the rights of others, is strictly prohibited.
No detection device can guarantee that it will identify every existing device, whatever the circumstances. Our products are not a substitute for the intervention of law enforcement or for a professional inspection. If you discover an unlawful surveillance device, we encourage you not to touch it and to contact the competent authorities.
10. Our liability
We are not liable for damage resulting from an improper use of the product, from any modification made to it, from a failure to follow the instructions, or from the action of a third party. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, and nothing affects the rights you have by law as a consumer.
11. Events beyond our control
We are not liable for any failure to perform caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including a natural disaster, an armed conflict, a transport strike or a lasting failure of communication networks.
12. Personal data
The data collected when you place an order is necessary to process it. Its use, its retention and your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection are set out in our privacy policy.
13. Intellectual property
All the elements of the site, its text, images, videos, logos, icons and structure, are protected by intellectual property law and remain our exclusive property or that of our partners. Any reproduction or use, in whole or in part, without prior written permission, is prohibited.
14. Complaints and dispute resolution
If you have a problem, please contact us first at contact@getprotectview.com: the great majority of situations are resolved at this stage. If we cannot settle the matter directly, you may, as a consumer, use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme to reach an out-of-court settlement. We will tell you whether we agree to use a particular ADR provider if the question arises.
Failing an agreement, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. As a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you benefit from the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.
16. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms at any time. The terms that apply to your order are those in force on the day you confirm it.
